Reconstruction of settlement for around 15.000 inhabitants. During the war the settlement was heavily damaged and partially destroyed as it was positioned at the front line of besieged Sarajevo. With funds from the European Commission (EC), German Government and UN, the NGO Help demined and reconstructed the settlement from 1997-1999. The task included the creation of an urban development plan for the complete settlement, demining of the area, reconstruction of around 250 houses and apartments, construction of green areas, streets and technical infrastructure and provision of social infrastructure (kindergarten, elderly home and an open air stage).
